Jim Scudder, the creator of The Instant Recovery System, has been a lifelong hardware and software developer.
• He created games for Atari (from 1976 to 1984)
• He developed products and services for IBM (from 1984 to 1994)
•
He designed much of the electronics for the Superconducting Super
Collider Laboratory in Round Rock, TX for Westinghouse and The Babcock &
Wilcox Company.

In the early 2000s I decided to start a national company to service PC’s.
My early consumers used back up technology for their PCs that required a
high degree of computer competency to use. I learned from my customers
that what was really needed was a PC that was crash proof. I set out to
design a crash-proof pc that was affordable for the average user. I tried
every backup technology on the market. Nothing would allow the user to
recovery instantly, with or with out technical know-how!With the dangers of having my PC crash due to viruses, stray software and errors in code I wanted to find a backup solution that I could turn to and lose almost no valuable work time. This led me down the road of building my own solution.
